What are ghosts/spirits?

Hollywood would have you believe that ghosts/spirits are the energy of a person who has passed on. They would have you believe these entities are vengeful and cruel, that their only intention is to inflict pain and suffering on the human race. There is however many different takes on the paranormal and many different opinions stemming from a variety of religions. The one and only thing that unites all faiths is the belief that these spirits are in fact the energy of a person who has passed on to the next life.

What is a ghost/spirit?

There is a very distinct difference between a ghost and a spirit; even though they are both compiled of energy they have very different characteristics. A ghost can be documented on film or by voice recording; they are also able to manifest themselves into full bodied apparitions by absorbing the energy from their surroundings. A ghost will more than likely want to get you attention and will make a concerted effort to frighten you. Ghosts are able to move objects, open and close doors and even touch people. There is an array of actions ghosts are capable of.A spirit on the other hand is unable to manifest itself and is only likely to be documented by voice recording. Spirits are left behind after a passing because they are either unaware they have passed or they have a message for a loved one they need to communicate before they can finally be at rest. A spirit will not haunt you and not harm you, they cannot move objects, they are purely the incomplete soul of a restless person.

Why are they still here?

There are many reasons why ghosts still roam the earth freely, there are a number of these entities that have actually chosen to stay behind, be it for the simple reason that they are unable to accept the fact they have passed away or they do not want to leave our plain of existence and their loved ones. There are then the few that have passed very suddenly or in such a horrific manner that their energy was thrown from their dead body and just left to spend eternity roaming the earth, confused and disorientated. I think the best way to explain it is if you look at a baby being born the natural way, you then understand that the whole process of the birth from start to finish is preparing the baby for life. The same applies here; the whole process of a person dying slowly is preparing the soul for release and crossing over to the next life. 

 Why can’t we see or hear them?

The reason it is so difficult to see or hear a ghost is the simple fact that they are nothing but energy, the earth itself and everything on it is energy. Energy is not something that can been seen unless it is transformed into a shape or object the naked eye can adjust to, thus when the ghost absorbs the energy from its surroundings it is able to manifest itself into either a full bodied apparition, or a ball of light otherwise known as orbs. We cannot hear them because the disembodied voices come through on a much lower frequency than the human ear can hear. The best way for me to describe this is to have you turn your television set onto a static channel and then listen to the voices you can hear coming through that channel, they will be muffled and distorted but you will hear them. That is how we are able to record these voices. 

What is a residual/intelligent haunting?

A residual haunting is a person’s energy that is bound to the confines of its last days; the ghost will replay the last events of its life repeatedly for all eternity. Think of it as a tape playing over and over again. These entities are completely unaware of its surroundings or us and even though they are able to move objects, it’s only the objects that were available to them during that sequence of events.An intelligent haunting is completely different in the sense that the ghost is fully aware of its surroundings and can interact with objects and people whichever way it pleases. These entities can be very dangerous and aggressive so I would highly suggest you seek the services of a professional when dealing with them. Should you come across an intelligent haunting that is not affecting the family in anyway, I would ask you to leave them in peace as they were people and they more than likely lived in that house before you did.

As I have stated before ghosts can manifest in many different ways, the most common are orbs. There is however occasions where the entity will appear to you in full form being the image it once was. They may also appear as shadows or a mist like presence, some people have seen solid forms and others have seen transparent apparitions. A ghost will read your emotions at the time of manifestation and will appear to you in the way it feels best to suit your situation.
